Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Aasan Rabta ("Aasan Rabta", "we", "us") collects when you use the Aasan Rabta app and website, why we collect it, who it is shared with, and the choices you have. By using Aasan Rabta you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use Aasan Rabta.

1. Who can use Aasan Rabta

Aasan Rabta is only for people who are 18 years or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has an account, email us and we will delete it.

2. Information you give us

Account: your email address and password (passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we never see them), or your Google account name and email if you sign in with Google.
Profile: name, username, photo, bio, business details, services, portfolio, catalog items, website content, and anything else you add to your profile. Your profile can be public, visible to contacts only, or private, depending on your privacy settings.
Phone number: only if you add it. It is kept private and is used so that people who already have your number can find you. You choose whether to show it on your profile.
Address and location: only if you add an address to your profile, share a location in a chat, or enter a delivery address at checkout.
Messages and media: text, photos, voice notes, videos, documents, polls, contacts and locations you send in chats and groups, and your statuses, posts, reels and comments.
Orders: when you buy from a seller, your name, phone number, delivery address and order details are shared with that seller so they can deliver.
Reports and support: what you write when you report something or email us.

3. Information collected automatically

Device notification token, so we can send you message and call notifications.
Online status and last seen (you can turn this off in Settings), read receipts (you can turn these off), and simple daily activity counts used for streaks.
Technical data such as your IP address, which our servers and service providers receive when your device connects to them.

We do not show ads, we do not use advertising trackers, and we do not sell your information.

Website and web app: your browser stores your login session and settings (local storage and similar). The Aasan Rabta website does not use advertising or analytics cookies.
Crash reports: if the Android app crashes, a crash report (device model, Android version, app version and the error) is sent to Google Firebase Crashlytics so we can fix it. It does not include your messages.

4. Device permissions

Aasan Rabta only asks for a permission when you use a feature that needs it:

Camera and microphone: photos, videos, reels, voice notes and calls.
Photos and files: sending or uploading media and documents.
Location: sharing a location or adding your address.
Notifications: message and call alerts.
Nearby devices / Bluetooth (Android): the optional Offline mesh feature.

You can turn any permission off in your phone settings at any time.

5. How your messages are protected

Normal chats, groups, statuses, posts and reels are stored on Google Firebase servers. They are protected in transit (HTTPS) and access is limited by security rules, but they are not end-to-end encrypted.
Calls are connected directly between devices using WebRTC, or through our relay server when a direct connection is not possible. Calls are encrypted in transit and are not recorded.
Offline mesh messages (Android, optional) are end-to-end encrypted. Phones that carry them, and our servers, cannot read them. They only see a random message ID, a random recipient code, an expiry time and a hop count.

6. Why we use your information

To run Aasan Rabta: create your account, show your profile, deliver messages, calls, notifications and orders.
To keep Aasan Rabta safe: prevent spam, fraud and abuse, review reports, and enforce our Terms of Use.
To follow the law, including valid requests from authorities in Pakistan.
To fix problems and improve Aasan Rabta.

Other users: what you post, send or make public is visible to the people you share it with.
Sellers: your order details go to the seller you buy from. Payments (cash on delivery, JazzCash, Easypaisa, bank transfer) are made directly between buyer and seller; Aasan Rabta does not receive or hold the money.
Service providers that run Aasan Rabta for us: Google Firebase (accounts, database, notifications, crash reports, app integrity checks), our rented servers (call relay and notifications), Openverse or Pexels (when you search for cover pictures, your search words are sent to them), and OpenStreetMap (map pictures load from their servers). These providers may store data outside Pakistan.
Authorities: when we are required to by law, or to protect someone's safety.

8. How long we keep information

We keep your account information until you delete your account.
When you delete your account, we delete your profile, listings, portfolio, posts, reels, statuses, website, phone number record and private settings. Messages you already sent stay in the chats of the people you sent them to, like on other messaging apps. Orders stay with the buyer or seller for their records.
Statuses stop showing after 24 hours and are deleted from our servers the next time their owner opens Aasan Rabta. Disappearing messages stop showing when their timer ends and are deleted from our servers the next time the sender opens that chat. Offline mesh messages expire after at most 7 days.
Copies in server logs or caches may remain for up to 30 days before they are removed.

9. Your choices and rights

See and edit your profile at any time in the app.
Control who sees your profile, photo, phone, email, online status and read receipts in Settings → Privacy.
Block and report people and content.
Delete your account in Settings → Delete account, or by emailing us from your account email address. See the account deletion page: https://aasanrabta.com/delete-account/
Ask us for a copy of your information or to correct it by emailing us.

10. Security

We use HTTPS, Firebase security rules and access controls to protect your information. No system is 100% secure, so please use a strong password and do not share sensitive information you would not want exposed.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and show the new version in the app. If the change is important, we will ask you to accept it again.
